How do I connect and set up HYPERBOOM for my TV or game console using the optical port?

To connect using the optical port, you’ll need to use an optical audio cable, which is sold separately.

  1. Plug the cable into the optical port on HYPERBOOM and connect it to the optical out port on your TV or game console.
  2. Select the optical source on HYPERBOOM.

The following examples show you how to switch optical (Toslink) output from Bitstream to PCM on some common TVs and gaming consoles:

LG TV

Settings → Sound → Sound Out → Optical /HDMI ARC → Digital Sound Out → PCM (the default setting is Auto)

NOTE: For some models, the user manual doesn’t provide information on how to switch optical output from Bitstream to PCM (the manual for 2017 and 2018 models does not.)
